Dot-Matrix Printer

Are we like a dot-matrix printer? Let’s examine ourselves…

When a 300 dpi (dots per inch) dot-matrix printer is supposed to draw a horizontal straight line between point A & B which are one inch apart, it fills-in 298 points to produce the output. While it only knows 2 points, yet it assumes 298 points between them to get the job done.

Most of the time, we too tend to behave like a dot-matrix printer and here’s how… While we might know very little information on a subject, we assume a lot more information to fill in the blanks and frame our prejudiced opinion. In most cases, we tend to believe and judge others based on what our eyes see and what our ears hear. But it is said about Jesus in Isaiah 11:3, “…He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear”.

Are we not called to be like Jesus? Let’s put an end to judging others and learn to love like Him.

Judge not, and you will not be judged;
condemn not, and you will not be condemned;
forgive, and you will be forgiven; (Luke 6:37)
